Lee Dong-gook is a retired South Korean professional football player who is also known by the nickname "Littlesock." He was born on April 29, 1979, in Pohang, South Korea. Lee started his professional career with Pohang Steelers in 1998 and won his first league title in 1999. During his career, he played for various clubs, including Werder Bremen, Middlesbrough, Seongnam Ilhwa Chunma, and Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors. He is known for his goal-scoring ability and being the highest scorer in K-League history with 228 goals in 532 appearances. He has also scored at three different FIFA World Cup tournaments and played in four consecutive Olympic Games with the South Korean National Team. Lee Dong-gook retired in 2020 after playing the final match of his career with Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors.
